Drama, Play & Learning

At Wandering Drama Company, children don’t just watch the story—they step inside it.

Our interactive drama programs use storytelling, creative movement, puppetry, improvisation, and imaginative play to help children explore, create, collaborate, and build confidence.

Programs can be customized for schools, libraries, museums, community organizations, camps, and other places where children learn and play.

Drama in a Suitcase

Creative Drama That Travels

What’s inside the suitcase? That’s where the adventure begins!

Using a suitcase filled with props, costumes, and unexpected surprises, children step into imaginary worlds where they create characters, solve problems, tell stories, and play together.

Each experience uses creative drama, movement, storytelling, and imaginative play to build confidence, creativity, communication, and collaboration—without the pressure of rehearsing for a final performance.

Programs can be adapted for different ages, themes, and settings and brought directly to schools, libraries, camps, museums, and community programs.

Puppetry and Storytelling

Puppets have a wonderful way of getting children talking, imagining, and creating!

Through puppetry, storytelling, character exploration, and creative play, children discover how a simple puppet can become the beginning of an entire story. Participants may create characters, explore voices and movement, build stories together, and bring their own ideas to life.

Puppet-making can also be incorporated into select programs, giving children the opportunity to create a character of their own and then bring it to life through drama and storytelling.

Bring Learning to Life

Custom Drama-Based Learning Experiences

What if children could step inside what they’re learning?

Wandering Drama Company can transform educational themes, stories, exhibits, historical topics, and other learning concepts into interactive drama experiences designed specifically for your audience.

Through role-play, movement, storytelling, puppetry, and imaginative play, children don’t simply hear about a subject—they explore it, experience it, and make meaningful connections to it.

Programs can be created in collaboration with schools, libraries, museums, cultural organizations, and community partners.

Professional Development for Educators

Bring more play, participation, and imagination into the way you engage children.

Wandering Drama Company offers interactive professional development workshops that give educators practical, immediately usable tools in creative drama, puppetry, storytelling, movement, and imaginative play.

Workshops can be customized for teachers, early-childhood educators, museum and library professionals, teaching artists, and other organizations that work with children.

Participants don’t just hear about the techniques—they experience them firsthand and leave with ideas they can put into practice.
